How does SociaBuzz know if someone joins via my referral link?

Your referral link has a unique identity based on the 6 characters at the end of the link.

Referral link format:

https://sociabuzz.com/i/r/xxxxxx

When someone clicks on your referral link, our system will place a "referral cookie" for 30 days in the browser they use.

If they create an account on SociaBuzz within the 30 day period, our system will check the "referral cookie" and will know that they came from your referral link.

The "referral cookie" will continue to track activity even if they leave SociaBuzz website and come back at a later time using the same browser within a period of 30 days (without needing to click the referral link again).
